Dear Olga Kovshanova
You are correct!
Non-Thai's cannot own land as per the law.
However, we try a to find a Thai buyer, a legal company who might to buy or experienced international investor with the correct set up in Thailand.
This piece of land will be perfect for a hotel developer who knows how to handle the investment.

I am planning, conceptualising and setting up a resort and I had found quite a few of the mistakes being committed at the planning stage before my taking over the project. Also it is not easy convincing a promoter to plan staff areas as they cannot visualise the requirement and they feel it is an unnecessary cost.
One requires to handle some promoters with kid gloves especially when it comes to family being involved.
One has to make them understand the pitfalls and the professionalism required for handling a resort.

Comment on Rip-off SEO Services for Hoteliers! by Ajarn Spencer

To be quite honest, as an autodidactic sef employed entrepreneur, i had to learn seo and marketing all by my self, also programming, database and web design, because my small operation would not rentabilitize itself if i had to employ other people to help me with the project. So i designed, programmed, seo-ed and optimized myself.

This is good now because i have achieved the ability to choose non-competitive keywords for niche genres which have a high number of global monthly searches using my keywords, and a low competition element, which allows me to have found a way to always get top first page results for any of my chosen keywords on any site i choose to make. This has taught me over more than a decade to understand the google and other search engines algorythms, and see, that it is impossible for any SEO company to do what they promise. Google changes its algorithms and evaluation criteria constantly as the present status and applied methods of web marketing change, and you need to understand how this engine works. I can get on first page myself with any chosen keyword in my Niche, and can easily take some one elses position using my methods.

I see that what seo companies charge is for almost nothing, because it does not take much to ingress your site to search engines. It is the content (text) of the page which is mostly important and the title of the page, and you canb not choose a keyword regardless of written content, rather, must write the content and then find out which is the most often used strings of words and use them as your keywords, or, if your keyword is more important than content, decide on keyword first and then try to write the content by inserting that keyword and strings of words to fit with your chosen keyword. The second option is worse because it forces your writing style

Social Sharing is a modern way to market and get traffic, so interesting and useful content is what gets shared.. hard work and original useful content.. thats how to get traffic
well optimized (for bots) text content with heavy keyword weight is what gets first page results

Results help to get traffic by search

Interesting content gets traffic by sharing

add a sitemap for the search engines to read

Register with google, bing and yahoo webmaster tools and add your site

Put like and add this buttons on your site

Title and alt tag your images with keywords for image searches (gets loadfs of traffic)

Make you tube channel with username for your site name or keyword

Make interesting viral videos for your topic

You tube then brings traffic (put your url in the video)

it's fun to do, free, and saves seo rip offs which you don't need.. they wont improve your rankings, your content will.
The more content you write and the more you vary your text strings, the more potential search results the google search engine can find
Content is King
If you have a flash website which search engines don't read well, or a 5 pager for your business, then yes, you need help for seo
But if you plan to blog or add much original information or self written content, then this is all you need to steadily increase the amount of search results you will get.

Non Cmpetitive keywords are the best to go for
Big Name keywords with much competition is pointless unless oyu plan to invest big money in going to war.

Look for your own territory and dont try to grab the hunting grounds which have already been taken and over-run
It is not profitable and it is hard work to run with the top contenders

Look for niches in which you have knowledge more than most competitors, or where you have more knowledge of optimizing your seo than your competitors do, and this gives you the edge when you begin your campaign for page one of google

A rabbit should not hunt lions
A rabbit should hunt mice for example

Whatever business you wish to enter into on the web, make sure you find out where you stand with your competitors.. are you a mouse, a rabbit or a lion?
look for markets you can compete in, do not dream of the internet millionaire with no efforts hard work or merits.. even internet only pays off with long hours and hard work (but you are free in your own home and time - this is the benefit)

In fact, internet offers a new way to make money, but is a very hard work to do and long hours. So bear this in mind if you are new to this and think of hiring an SEO agency to get your site on page one..
thats an empty promise.. page one for keyword 'andys handyman joiner shop' is easy
but 'car for hire' is difficult to get page one, because there are hundreds of thousands of companies around the world competing for that phrase

so if you have a website for car hire called we have cars for hire dot com
and want to get on page one of google for 'car hire' search term
the seo company wont be able to get you in page one
so they cant promise that.

get me on page one
for what keyword?
its not just 'get on page one'
it is 'get on page one with a certain search term'
you need to study which search terms are most typed and have high number of Monthly searches

Then see which of those terms have high search counts but a lower competition (amount of sites competing for first page)
A keyword or search term with 5 million monthly searches but 300 thousand websites competing is not as good as a search term/keyword with 5000 and only 10 sites competing

you need to look at these things before choosing domain and keywords, to see which domain and keyword has the highest number of people seeking it on the www, and then work out your seo campaign after this, in the secure knowledge that you are tapping into an unexploited source of traffic.

Interesting article, but as mentioned by many wrongly interpreted, I strongly believe that the hotel/resort development process starts at the beginning and that is with the owners/developers!

Most them fail to understand the briefing and pre-qualification process requirements that are integral to start of with. What are we going to build, a 4-star, a 5-star, resort or urban property, what is the size and restrictions of the site, what are the building code restrictions, is this going to be a brand managed and operated property etc.?

Once they that brief sorted, what about a feasibility study, which is another much overlooked issue on many so projects! I truly am amazed about the number of owners who at the beginning totally ignore the very important pre-opening, post-opening and OS&E budgets, which often results in tearing the design to pieces by value engineering processes. And you want to blame the designers for this!

To go back to your story, once budget is agreed and the project is feasible, then let's start the pre-qualification process for the design team, and I mean all design team members, as most of them come in far too late in the design process! Again a major cause for poor coordination and integration of their services, kitchens, IT, AV systems, are a prime example.

If this is done successfully, I can guarantee that the concept and design development will be smooth sailing, ditto for the construction team!

So to blame the architects, designers I think is a bit unfair as the ones that you mentioned were obviously not part of the proper pre-qualification process, so that's the main reason why those mentioned projects failed!

Hell, I recently stayed in a brand new hotel in Surabaya where all the three lifts were second hand and also off different brands!

Just my 2 cents worth!
